Bangkok, 8th December 2020 – evRiderz, the world’s first electric motorbike ride-hailing company, calls on motorcycle taxi customers to promote green energy use and support their local wins (motorcycle taxi stands) by downloading the evRiderz app. After a successful launch of enrollment in November, evRiderz has over 300 Driverz prepared to transport customers from three major regions of Bangkok.
evRiderz envisions an electric motorcycle path to sustainability
evRiderz was founded on a mission to increase green energy use in major metropolitan areas in Asia through an essential mode of transportation – motorcycles. By converting motorcyclists from petrol to cleaner electric batteries, the evRiderz community of Driverz and Riderz help reduce pollution and increase sustainability in their communities.
Driverz get reasonable financing opportunities when purchasing their evbike through evRiderz, and they benefit from evRiderz unique Battery as a Service programme, where they can replace depleted batteries for fully charged ones easily and quickly.
Riderz get the convenience of a motorcycle taxi picking them up at their location while supporting local wins (taxi stands) and promoting a cleaner, less polluted environment through green electric bikes.
evRiderz to transition motorcycle taxis to electric starting January 2021
With motorcycle taxis such an integral part of Bangkok, evRiderz launched a novel programme to encourage the drivers to switch from petrol to electric motorcycles. The more rides a driver completes using the evRiderz app, the better their credit rating is, and the better financing offer they will be eligible for when they buy an electric motorcycle from evRiderz. evRiderz projects the first deliveries of electric motorcycles to Driverz will begin in January 2021.
Motorcycle taxi customers across Bangkok can download the evRiderz app now. Currently, customers in Thonburi, Klong San, and Chom Thong can use the app to hail motorcycle taxis from the nearest win. And for its launch period, evRiderz will waive customer pick up service fees for every ride.
App users will receive notifications as the service area expands. Beyond the launch, for the motorcycle win driver, it is free to use without them being charged a service fee.
